On my last visit to the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, I stopped at Grand-Pré National Historic Site to take in the beauty of the gardens and of course to take a few photos of the site.
Make sure to visit the site if you're ever in the area. It's a beautiful landscape... so beautiful in fact, that the Landscape of Grand-Pré has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

However, dealing with a background black screen on my camera due to battery issues reminded me to always carry a spare battery and check my gear beforehand to avoid missing perfect photo opportunities.
